Nothing says autumn like a cinnamon scented fruit crisp. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream while still warm to make it extra special.

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place fruit in a baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle with cinnamon and salt. Cover with the juice.
  4. Mix together all the crisp ingredients. Crumble on top of sliced fruit.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes for apples and 45 minutes for pears, or until the crisp is crunchy and the fruit is soft.


  • 4 large apples or pears (1 1/2-2 lbs), thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 1 cup of apple or pear juice

  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats

  • 1/4 cup of rice syrup or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup of unrefined corn or canola oil
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
